I graduated high school without a single clue.
I took AP and Honors courses, was varsity cheer captain, and had a 3.8 GPA but nothing stood out to me career-wise.
On a suggestion from my mom, I attended medical assistant vocational school and then worked for 5 years as a medical assistant.
I took online college classes on & off but couldn't decide on a degree. Eventually I got promoted to clinical supervisor and hated the lack of patient care.
Unhappy in my position, I applied at and got hired at Amazon Corporate HQ as an executive assistant where I truly fell in love with the administrative professional career.
While at Amazon, I had a baby, bought a house, and got married (hey! we did things in order of commitment length!) When I had my baby, I almost died in childbirth... TWICE!
I gained a whole new outlook on life and refused to settle for anything less than my dream job. I knew that dream job didn't involve commuting for 3 hours a day, so I sought out to create said dream job.
9 months after leaving my corporate 9-5 and starting my freelance business, I become a 6 figure business and became quite obsessed with helping others launch their own thriving freelance businesses!
I'm a walking example of how the cookie-cutter path: high school, college, job, marriage, house, baby, work for 40 years, retire doesn't work for everyone. Life is not a one-size fits all; and I'm so glad I've chosen the path that I have.
MY METHODS
I'm a firm believer that things happen for you; not to you. A victim of child abuse, former foster kid, and birth trauma survivor; I'm no stranger to poor circumstances.
Resilience is one of my core pillars, and has made me the woman and entrepreneur I am today.
A little bit woo, a bit of a pusher (I'll hold you accountable), and a real-life cheerleader; my main goal is to empower you to realize your inner potential.
